Welcome to the Children of AWE!
This is a home for parents looking for a gentler, more sensible way to educate their children — one that takes children's minds seriously, lets them grow at the pace of real life, and treats Awe and Wonder for all of Earth(lings) as the real foundation of learning.
We're an Indian homeschooling family rooted in our Indian heritage, with Korean, and Japanese language and culture woven through our days, and a deep love of learning from every tradition the world has to offer. We believe awe and wonder are the precursors to peace, love, and respect — the bedrock of a kinder world. Our tools are the oldest and best ones: good books, the natural world, gardens full of herbs and stories, growing our own food, learning languages, family travel, inspiring films and documentaries, long walks and longer conversations, and the unhurried hours that let a child actually think.
Here you'll find the curricula we've built and lived — in philosophy, herbalism, multicultural literature, world languages, and more — alongside reflections from our learning life and resources for any family wanting to try this approach, whether you're seasoned homeschoolers or just beginning to wonder if there's another way.
The longer vision is community: a Children of AWE co-op where families gather around these same touchstones, learn together, and build the kind of village that makes a gentler education possible. If that calls to you, I hope you'll walk this road with us.
